Well it’s not day two of keto, and so far so good, lol. And although my husband said he was going to do it I guess he’s going to be doing a ‘modified’ keto 😂 as he had regular creamer and a cake ball yesterday. Little bit and I had a good keto breakfast, cheesy scrambled eggs which he loves! Dinners are pretty easy, just omit any pasta or rice and it’s pretty much the normal dinners we’ve been eating.
I did just get two new missions from MyMagazine Sharing Network, one for fuel points and the other for dog food & treats. Having two fur babies we will always try new treats out for them 😃 so I will keep y’all posted on how they are. And the fuel points if you shop at Kroger you already know, with gas prices always going up it’s nice to get a little break at the pump. #krogerco #fuelpointsfordays #mymagazinesharing. Anyone that comments will be entered to win 100 fuel points for themselves!
I am also looking to get a new interchangeable needle set for my knitting, and am now doing some research. I want the most versatile set I can get, I like doing everything from hats, scarves, cowls, socks and am starting to make garments. So if I could get a great set that I could do all of the above that would be outstanding! My birthday is next month and I think that’s what I may get myself!
Til next time!
This is my wonderful crazy life! I'm a mom to two wonderful boys have an amazing husband and two dogs! I love to knit, crochet and sew with any free time I have!

Keto?
Who does Keto?
I am going to be starting on Tuesday so wish me luck! Thankfully I know I won't be going it alone, my mom and I are both going to start together. That definityly makes it easier to do something like this to have a buddy. It helps to be able to not only share ideas but also someone to help hold you accountable without judging for any slips.
So this weekend I will be doing lots of research for different recipes that not only look tasty to me but something my family may actually eat without loosing their minds on me.
Do ya'll have any yummy recipes or any helpful tips? This is going to be a major transition for me because I am such a carb freak. But I know I need to do something to help get to a healthier weight and I can always use more energy without having to pump an obscene amount of caffeine into my body to help keep up with my kiddos. I've also heard from people who have been doing this they sleep better, and in theory better sleep equals good energy and a better day! So help me out, comment on any tips to help me out!
I did get some packages of Pruvit Ketone drinks from one of our amazing local boutique stores, The Funky Monkey. The ladies there are all very knowledgeable about the products without being pushy in any way! So if you're in the Clear Lake/Friendswood area check them out!

Test Swatches
I broke down and cast on with my new needles! I am just doing some test swatches for now to see which needles I need for my next project. I am loving these needles! They are so slick and smooth, and also very lightweight! It makes me want the next level ones even more now!
I don't always do swatches, it just really depends on what the project is. I had to do a swatch for a blanket I'm doing which normally I wouldn't worry too much about a blanket, but this is a kit so I want to make sure I don't run out of yarn. The project I will be casting on with the yarn I just swatched is going to be a cardigan so size is super important.
Now, I am planning on using the grey in the cardigan but in order for me to be able to know which is which I just used the same type of yarn, same brand, but different colors. I am using Hobby Lobby's I Love This Yarn in sport weight. It's washable and so soft. It's also very budget friendly.
I do have an absolutely fabulous knit that I made with a super yummy squishy cashmere blend that is hand wash only that is going to be a gift next month. I can't wait to show that off! It was so much fun to work with this yarn, just how soft and wonderful it felt!
And I still couldn't find the link for the needle set, it may be discontinued but if you look around at your local Hobby Lobby, if you're lucky enough to be near one, you may find it and even use your 40% off coupon with it!
Here's what the packaging looks like outside that shows which needles it has and what cords come with it. I love that there are four pins to help connect the cords! So hopefully I will be able to get some good work done casting on the cardigan over the last part of the weekend since I work Friday and Saturday night this weekend!

MyMagazine Kroger Snack Time Mission
I am a excited. I just received my package in the mail from MyMagazine with my Kroger goodies in it.
I waited until H came home from school and told him I needed his help trying out the new goodies! He of course was more than happy to oblige, I mean I don't know many kids who would say no to chocolate chip cookies and fruit snacks :).
His verdict was a huge smile and two thumbs up!
I tried the cookies and while I'm not really a huge chocolate chip cookie fan unless they're homemade these were very good. Not very soft but not too hard, pretty much a great in between. I would definitely recommended them, especially to save a little money for packing kids lunches. I do have some coupons for them and if you email me I would be very happy to share them!

I'm Back!
Well almost four years has gone by with no new posts and boy has our life changed!
We now have an almost two year old who is our own little tiny tornado and we couldn't be happier. I realized that I had completely forgotten my blog and I'm sorry about that. But I'm back :)
What really made me remember that my blog exists is that I was chosen to test products out for MyMagazine through Kroger, I'll try and post a link. And when they asked I said of course, because we do most of our grocery shopping there...Hello ClickList! (And if you haven't used ClickList yet I highly recommend it! It has saved us a ton of money on impulse buys, and you just sit in your car as everything is loaded up for you!) So anyway, they asked me if they could send me some Kroger brand cookies and fruit snacks I jumped on that. I am always looking for different snacks to put in my oldest sons lunch and still save money. #WhereAwesomeMeetsAffordable #MyMagazineSharing #FreeSamp
I'm all about saving my family money since now I am mostly a stay at home mommy again. I still work at the hospital, but I only work four nights a month and only Friday and Saturday nights. I love this so much, it has given me so much time to really spend with my boys without being a zombie. I have tried to use that time to organize the house and keep it neater, notice I said tried 😄. I do have a schedule that I follow for the most part but right now I am sitting in my living room watching YouTube videos, typing this, reclining in the living room that is a hot mess. Oh well, even though I try and pick up all the toys during most days at naptime all that is going to happen is he's going to get all the toys back out and all over the place!
I don't really sew too much right now, my sewing/craft area is such a mess and I really need about 2 days all to myself to get it all organized and put together, so maybe in about 10+ years that'll actually happen! But never fear there's always crafting going on, I just had to learn some new crafts! I am actually crocheting and knitting now. And as soon as I get offline I will be back to work on one of the many projects that I have going, all Christmas projects. I am actually considering casting on another one, but I know I should hold off until at least one going is finished.
And that's what I'm watching on YouTube, I love watching knit and crochet channels and learning new things! I also find new tools and needles that always go into my wish list. I just bought a new needle set at my local Hobby Lobby that I can't wait to try out (I was going to try and post a link but I can't find it on their site so I'll put a picture up
). Its a Knitters Pride set, and it looks so pretty. It has needle sizes US4 to US11 and four cords so it looks pretty versatile for many projects. I have a few of their other sets in my wish list that are a little more and my dream set right now are the ChiaoGoo sets, they look amazing! Their Twist Lace set looks like it would be just right for any kind of project big or small. Maybe I'll grab a set for my birthday! I'll keep ya'll posted!
Well I am going to get going on one of my projects and I'll post again soon to update on some of the other things going on with our family and I will definitely let ya'll know how the free samples are, I'm so excited to get those in!!

Well I'm moving on up! Sewing surgical hats in three styles and they've been selling pretty well at the hospital so I am taking a chance and branching out! I just opened my etsy store, I figured why not! I am always looking for a way in order to make a little extra and this is an added plus since I love sewing! I just want to get a few pictures of the boppy covers that I made for a friend of mine for her beautiful baby girl!
Little man is doing very well, back to school and has an early release day Friday. And he doesn't know it yet, but he gets to have a sleep over with his cousins at my sisters that day too! That will make two date nights in the last week for us! We had a great weekend together, my niece and nephew had their birthday parties on Saturday and it was a blast! My mom and I went out shopping before the party for some last min gifts and while we were shopping H and my dad went to another build and grow workshop at the local Lowes. Then after the birthday party he got to spend some more time with Grandma and Spud, always makes him happy!
We went and saw "Gone Girl" Saturday night, and I loved it! Jury is still out on how Jared liked it, I don't know that he was ready for the kind of movie it was. Without giving anything away it just twists and turns, just like the book. If you haven't seen the movie or read the book I highly recommend reading the book first! It was so good I had to get another one by her and read it as well, read Dark Places and Gone Girl in a week! They were so good, couldn't put them down!
We have another full weekend coming up, so until next time!

Long Time
Well it's been far too long since I posted anything. We are still chugging along. We are still trying for baby number 2. We were told we would need to go see a fertility specialist, but we have decided against this, we already have one amazing little boy who is the center of our world. We thought that we would rather use the money that may of gone to a fertility specialist and spend it on little H.
H is now in Pre-K 4 at the elementary school five days a week! He loves it and is learning so much. I never realized just how much they are supposed to already know by the time they enter kindergarten!!! Pre-K is for them what kindergarten was to us growing up. I am so blessed that he was able to enter this program. He got in on a need for speech therapy. His MDO teacher last year noticed what we had already, that she couldn't really understand him and neither could his friends. So we started the process late last year in getting him speech therapy through CCISD. And let me tell you, it's a PROCESS!!! We had to go and have him tested, and as I knew he qualified for the full evaluation, which was another two months down the road. When we went for the full evaluation it was a FULL day of testing in all areas of development. We were both exhausted afterward, he totally melted down and was done with the day, and I couldn't blame him at all. After that it was more waiting and waiting for all the instructors to meet and 'grade' his tests. We finally got the call and after filling out more paper work (so much paper work) he was officially accepted and got to start after spring break. He was in Pre-K 3 the last nine weeks of the school year. And he made great progress in that short period of time! So much that he didn't have to do anything over the summer. So now he's back in school and having so much fun with all of his friends. He loves his teachers and as I heard after the parent-teacher conference last week I learned just how much they love him!
I am still working nights, which is so much easier now that H is back in school. Not much to report on that end, other than lots of new people. And I'm making scrub hats for everyone! Love making them and I'm making pretty decent money doing it!
Til next time, I promise it won't be so long!
